Why Impact Organization?

Fiscal sponsorship is a partnership where a nonprofit organization (the fiscal sponsor) provides financial and administrative support to a project or initiative that is not yet a fully established nonprofit. This arrangement allows the project to operate under the sponsor's tax-exempt status, enabling it to receive donations and grants that are tax-deductible for the donors. The fiscal sponsor typically offers services such as financial management, fundraising support, and compliance oversight, allowing the project to focus on its mission and programs without the burden of administrative tasks.

What is a Fiscal Sponsorship?

Apply

The first step is to complete our application for fiscal sponsorship here. This helps us gather the information we need to support you best at this stage of your journey. It helps us learn more about your charitable mission, location, expected expenses, and other related items. The application is free, non-binding, and takes roughly 5-10 minutes to complete. We will reply to your application within the week.

How to partner with us

Fiscal sponsees have low overhead costs, which provides more time to focus on the mission at hand. Additionally, set-up time hovers around 3-5 business days, while it takes 6-9 months to receive 501(c)3 status from the IRs. Fiscal sponsees also avoid nonprofit formation state requirements (I.e. nonprofit corporation formation, board of directors, bylaws, etc.)

Fiscal Sponsorship vs independent 501(c)3

Impact Organization handles the administrative burdens of having your own standalone foundation through back-office administration, financial management, and IRS compliance. Our fee, 4-6% on deposits (higher percentage if less, lower percentage if more), is proudly the lowest in the fiscal sponsorship industry, ensuring more of your charitable dollars go directly to your charitable mission.
